1953 & 1954 |
Two for one on this excellent CD a total of 16 adult love songs. Hell! He might be losing his hair, but he had a new record deal and man could Nelson swing. "All Of Me", "Get Happy" and "I Get A Kick Out Of You"; Frank was back and this time for good.........So what if Ava had flown the coop? Still plenty more broads in town. |

1955 |
An album of lost love, the title says it all "The Time You Miss Her Most Of All". Sinatra's voice had deepened, but a mixture of cocky agression and vulnerability made him king of the saloon singers. With songs like "I Get Along Without You Very Well", "Glad To Be Unhappy" and "This Love Of Mine" the message is clear to Ava Gardner and the rest of the broads "I will get over you ........ maybe? |

From
the opening track "You make me feel so young" to the final cut "How about you" there is no doubting Sinatra's mood buoyant and full of vim and vigour. Frank is singing again and never better than on the sublime "I've Got You Under My Skin" a song, incidentally, that myself and the guys sang on stage in Vegas and also had played on my brother Neil's (Joey) wedding day. |

Another party record. Frank was now spending most of his time in Vegas swinging and drinking with the rest of The Rat Pack. The man is on top form with old favourites like "Night And Day", At Long Last Love" and "From This Moment On". One song not included on the LP, but added to the CD is "The Lady Is ATramp" which is a real nice bonus. |

Sinatra recorded three albums with Gordon Jenkins whilst at Capitol. This is the first and it is magnificent. An album of soft understated ballads. Ava was in Spain and Frank was in pain and man does it show! "Lonely Town", "Autumn Leaves"and "I Think Of You" all heart breaking ballads; and finally the song he co-wrote for Ava "I'm a Fool To Want You". Sinatra's heart bleeds on this one. Without doubt, one of his finest. |

Great cover photo; hat tilted, confident smile and with the young hip Billy May doing the arranging it was going to be a cool ride around Franks world. "Brazil", "London By Night" or "April In Paris"; it's always nice to go travelling with Frank. These are the songs that encouraged the Fat Pack to travel the world. |

1958 |
Well, its back to the saloons and crying in your beer. Originally this was to be called "Songs For Losers" and with songs like "Angel Eyes", "Willow Weep For Me" and the all time losers song "One For My Baby" it's pretty obvious why. So if it's late at night and you are feeling melancholic this one is for you baby! |

1959 |
Well, Frank and Billy May had taken you around the world so how about once around the dance floor. So if you like "The Last Dance"and you are "Dancing In The Dark", "Cheek To Cheek" ya gonna love this one. Great album, great cover, great tunes and those cool cool cool "Baubles, Bangles And Beads". |

With Gordon Jenkins hired again it can only mean one thing. Frank has got the blues. Maybe he is thinking of Ava again!! But, whatever, he is in a mournful mood. Check out the title track or "I Don't Stand A Ghost Of A Chance With You". Yeah, he is moody, but never maudlin, and always magnificent. |

1960 |
Frank is happy. He is back in Vegas filming "Oeans Eleven", boozing with the guys and has a new squeeze on the arm (Miss Juliet Prowse). He sounds relaxed with the gentle swing songs, a few ballads and Nelson Riddle back on board. And with songs like "Fools Rush In", "That Old Feeling" and "Nevertheless" it's time to kick off your shoes and do what the man says... Take it "Nice And Easy". |

1961 |
Franks final album for Capitol. But what an album! A positively stunning collection of songs: "As Time Goes By", "September Song"and "When The World Was Young". It's the work of a master..........Buy it now! .......Nah!......Buy em all! |
